Imijingak established to console displaced people in 1972.  The train called the Iron horse wants to run symbolizes the railway connecting the north and the south that was dismantled during the Korean War. Since entrance is permitted without complicated procedures, it has been one of the most popular tourist attractions among foreign visitors.
The 3rd Tunnel
Dug in 1978 by North Korea to infiltrate South Korean territory, this tunnel is 2 m wide, 2 m high and 1,635 m long. It was built to allow the passage of 10,000 armed soldiers. At present, tourists can take walking tours through the tunnel and it takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to complete the tour.
Dora Observatory
Built in 1986, this is the only place in South Korea where North Korean life is visible. Through telephoto lenses, North Korean farmers going about their daily lives and elementary school students receiving military training can be seen.
Dora Station
Built in 2002 to reconnect Seoul and Sinuiju, Dora Station located in the civilian restriction line. In February 2002, former U.S. President George Walker Bush visited it with former President Daejong Kim. They also made speeches and wrote their signatures in the railroad tie.
